Thanksgiving weekend

Happy Thanksgiving, well a couple of days late. I took this picture at Los Rios, which is an historic distric in San Juan Capistrano.
Busy week like normal. Rory, Marissa and I were supposed to go to the hockey game on Monday night, but Marissa had been overwhelmed with people between work and school. Marissa had a panic attack and she and I decided it was a good idea to not go. Rory had to go see Michael, regarding the trust, so he was going to meet us there. I called him to let him know we were not going. Of course, he got upset. He went and had problems with the seats, plus he had some other problems. He had to be in court regarding the trust on Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m., which meant getting up at 5 to leave by 6.
Thanksgiving, Marissa came down with a cold and had to work. Mari and I went to see "Old Dogs", which we both enjoyed. As we were going out to dinner, Marissa decided to stay home and had a TV dinner. Rory came down with the cold that night. Everybody, but me worked on Friday and I had a nice time to myself. I bought my Christmas gift as well. I got a new camera and Mari has been playing with it more than I have. Now she wants one. Marissa wasn't feeling up to going to work today, so she stayed home. Rory is at work and I am going to church this afternoon. I am feeding Janean's family tonight, as all four boys are sick and Trevan has the swine flu. The only one who has not been sick is Stace.
Tomorrow, Mari and I are going to Point Loma tomorrow to take pictures. Janean was supposed to go with us, but with 4 sick boys, she thought it might be better if she did not go.

Start of the weekend

Hi, I love this picture. Sweet Pea loves to touch us and this is Mari's hand.
Another busy week, between CR, school and seeing friends. Yesterday I got my hair done and so did Mari and Janean, then we went to lunch and down to San Juan Capistrano and took pictures. I also got my house cleaned this week.
Tomorrow is my sister's b-day and I was actually able to wish her a Happy B-day on Facebook.
It's getting late for me and I am off and running to bed.

A new week.

HI, I have been busy and hadn't had a chance to do my blog. These are some of the photos I have edited this week.
It has just been a crazy few days. I had to deal with an issue through Facebook and I have been excited to talk to my niece, who I have never talked to before. Today was mainly a day of getting errands done and I was tired from last night. Went to Pasadena and went out to dinner and just hung out. I think all the stress of the last few days has caught up with me and I am exhausted. Hopefully a less stressful week.
Better get dinner together. Trudi

Happy Veteran's Day

Hi,

This is going to be very quick.

Today has been busy with seeing friends. My schedule changed this morning, as my counseling appt. was cancelled. I had coffee with two friends.

Several people feel that photography is a gift I have from God. I am going to be praying on how I can use this gift and how I need to grow in taking pics.

Off to watch TV. Trudi

Mental Health Day

Hi, Well, I am running late again today, but it has been a wonderful, relaxing day.

Last night, I had dinner with Chris and Diane, which was nice and then I went to step study. We are so close to the end. Rory, Marissa and I are supposed to go to a hockey game on November 23 and I am hoping that the celebration dinner for step study is not on that night. When I got home, Mari was not feeling well, but I think she was just major tired.

Today, Rory disappeared and the girls and I have stayed home all day, which has been so nice. We have school tonight. I am not going back to school in the spring, unless something changes.

This is a picture of the old church, where the stained glass window came from yesterday. I love the architecture. I had better get dinner going, so heading out. Trudi

Monday, Monday

Hi,
Usually do this in the morning, but running late today and it really doesn't matter when I do it or if I do it. This was another picture I took in Whittier at an old church in Uptown Whittier.
Yesterday was a good day. Janean, Mari, Marissa and I went up to the Bonaventure to pick up some things that Rory had left. We continued up the 110 freeway and found Heritage Square, which consisted of some old houses. We all took some neat pictures. I will eventually get to post them, once I get them edited. Then we headed up to Pasadena and took some pictures of an old church. Then headed home. A fun day.
Helen did write Mari back. Today has been my usual Monday to myself. Tonight I am having dinner with Diane and Chris and then to step study.
Headed out. Trudi

Whittier

Good Morning,
This is a picture I took in Whittier on a field trip that Janean and I took recently. The picture is on the front of a building and now that I look at it, it looks like someone with a coat and tie.
Last night, I was on Facebook and I decided to see if I could find my sister. Monique lives in Switzerland and I have not talked to her in 5 years. I asked her to be my friend and she approved it and her daughter also asked to be my friend. I am excited about this, but I don't want to get too excited, as I have been hurt before with trying to reach out. We will see what happens.
Today, the girls, Janean and I are going to downtown LA to get Rory's insulin and to do picture taking. It should be a fun day.
Heading out. Trudi

The weekend

Good Morning,
It's Saturday. I am going to try to get to church this afternoon. Mari has to work from 2:30-6ish. Marissa gave away her hours, so she and I are going to run errands. Rory is supposed to work today, but who knows.
The only thing he is focusing on is the trust houses and all these things he wants me to do and all the emails he wants me to send. I will be handling this, but I have no clue who is doing what or who has what information and how much information Leah or Yvonne is going to give us. I love this being in no man's land. Plus I also have to deal with Thanksgiving. I have to remember, I just have to take today. I need to remember that. I don't have to eat the whole elephant.
Tomorrow we are taking a field trip to downtown Los Angeles to the Bonaventure and get Rory's medication, that he left at the hotel. We will take pictures and make some fun out of it.
Headed out, Trudi

Nervous

Good Morning,
This is a tree that I found, when we had done a field trip out Live Oak Canyon. A couple of days I went out there and the tree was gone. It is interesting because there are a whole lot of holes in the tree.
Yesterday Rory went to court about 8:30 a.m. and finally got done with the whole trust thing about 8:30 last night. We have a check right now and we will get more money in a couple of weeks and then we will also be taking on responsibility of 4 pieces of property. My new job will be handling the houses.
This morning I had coffee with a friend and I saw two other friends when I was there. The rest of the day will just be doing house stuff and tonight going to CR. Diane is in town, so I will get to see her. YEA
Back on the road. T.

Peacefulness

Good Morning,
Yesterday was not a great day in my head. I keep trying to fix something I can't fix. I keep trying to make something different than it is supposed to be.
The cleaning people were coming yesterday and I try to be out of the house while they are here. I took Marissa to school, while Mari decided to stay home. I then took a drive down to Laguna, after I got some lunch. I also met a friend for coffee. Came home and took a nap, which helped tremendously. Rory left around 11:30 to go downtown and be ready for today's court hearing for the trust. The girls and I had pizza last night and then watched America's Next Top Model. So far no news from court. I just have to remember that God is in control and I know He will take care of me.
Heading on down the road. Trudi

It's Wednesday

Good Morning,

This is a picture of Marissa and Sweet Pea laying on the couch. I have another picture of Marissa with her eyes open. I got a major compliment from Flickr with this shot.

Yesterday was mainly staying home. I met a friend for coffee and then had class last night. I got my Sequoia photobook done.

Today, the cleaning people come and Rory is going downtown so he can be there on time for court tomorrow morning. Marissa has class and I am meeting a friend for coffee.

Heading on down the road. Trudi

Better day

Good Morning,

I decided to be proactive regarding our spending. I wrote down everything we spent under headings and put it into a budget that I can deal with, because I cannot change Rory. I saw someone I know from CR yesterday and when she was describing her daughter, so was describing Rory to a "T". To Rory, it is all about Rory. I can only change me. I just felt very sad.

I took a nap yesterday, started the Sequoia photo book and went to CR last night.

Today is mainly home, except I have class tonight with a test and I am meeting a friend for coffee.

Budget

Good Morning,
I looked at what we spent last month and it was way, way too much, so I am going to try to set up a realistic budget that hopefully we can all live with. Welcome to Monday and reality.
Yesterday was a nice day. I was relaxed and stayed home all morning and did my morning routine. Janean came over at noon and we went to PICS ministry at church. The class this month was on lighting, which I need to work on. Came home and had a nice quiet evening at home. Finished my Sequoia pics finally. Watched Amazing Race and went to bed. Rory worked yesterday.
Better keep going. Trudi

November 1

Good Morning,

Here is another picture of Sweet Pea/Halloween Cat. Halloween was very quiet at our house. We had about 20 kids and Mari and I ended up watching Ghost Hunters Live. It was interesting. I was very tired last night. The girls and Rory worked yesterday and I went to church. Good service as usual. I love the music and I enjoy singing.

Now is the countdown to Thanksgiving! Oh my gosh, I don't believe it. When Marissa turned on the TV this morning and was listening to the music channel that has all of the music for the seasons, they were playing Christmas music. We are going to have this for 2 months. I will say at Hallmark, they have had Christmas up since July.

I told Rory this morning that I was not going to go downtown with him on Wednesday. It would cost me between parking, dinner and breakfast about $150. That is not worth it, especially if I got to the hotel around 5 and left downtown by 10 a.m. the next day. He was like, ok.

Today, is PICS ministry meeting and not much else. Rory is working today.
